Music volume gets lowered upon switching tabs?

When I open the Spotify tab on my computer to have it be the active tab, it gets really loud, and as soon as i switch tabs so Spotify is not the one i am actively on, it gets a lot quieter. Does anyone know why this could be happening?

Since you're talking about tabs, I presume you're referring to the webplayer, correct? If so, could you please provide us the following:

• Is this only on the webplayer? Does it happen on the webplayer on other devices? 
• Does this happen on different browsers and in an incognito window?
• Does something similar happen on the standalone app on other devices, for example when the app is running in the background?
• When did this start happening?
• Does it happen with all content or only with something specific?
• Screenshots or a video of the behaviour. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
