My Question or Issue

In the Windows desktop app, when trying to add a song from an album page to a playlist, the interface experiences a glitch. The pop-up menu for selecting a playlist repeatedly shifts from one side to the other, making it impossible to select a playlist and complete the action.

I’ve attached a video demonstrating the issue. I’ve attempted troubleshooting steps such as restarting the app, restarting my PC, performing clean installs, and logging out and back in, but the problem persists. This issue has been ongoing for quite some time.

Hey there @ProfVinyl,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

Kudos for the troubleshooting you've tried so far! We couldn't replicate this behavior on our side. As a workaround, we'd recommend right-clicking over the song you want to add to other playlists. That way, this menu will appear in a more centric space of the screen.

Now, we'd like to gather some additional info to better understand this behavior. Please send us:

  • The exact Spotify version you're running on the affected device.
  • Just to confirm, does this happen when you use the web player?
  • Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event, such as a OS update?

Keep us in the loop!

Hey,

Version is:

Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.53.438.g246d60c9

No, this is only an issue on the desktop app.

I don't recall what happened prior to this error appearing but it's been around for a while now.

Cheers!
