Playlist cover art with transparent background color changes to black after restarting the app.

My Question or Issue

I have customized several cover arts with transparent backgrounds in PNG format, however after applying them to a playlist the background changes to black. For a few moments everything works, even when accessing it on another device. However, after restarting the app, the transparent color changes to black.

I believe that the cover arts are converted to JPEG and thus lose their transparency. Would it be possible to improve the app to preserve the cover art with transparency?

can this be fixed please 😭😭 i keep uploading pngs and it works fine for a second and then when i close out of the app the playlist cover background goes back to black… please make it so the background stays transparent 😭😭🙏🏼

I’ve also had this problem and it was confusing me because it would only happen to a select few of my playlists but the majority are fine. Upon experimenting, i discovered that if the playlist is downloaded, that’s when the black thing happens. Someone else pls vouch
