Remove "shows you might like", "episodes for you", "popular with, "picked for you" from podcasts

Remove "shows you might like", "episodes for you", "popular with, "picked for you" from podcasts

I'm on desktop Windows, non-premium.

I do not want to have podcasts suggested to me by the algorithm, and I do not want these suggestions to be prioritized over new episodes. I especially don't want random playlists that were "picked for me" on my podcasts page.

I really only want new episodes from shows I already watch. Is there a way to turn these suggestions off, or make sure that new episodes appear first?

Additionally, is there a way to block certain podcasts? Shows I don't listen to, shows I unfollowed, and shows that I actively dislike are all present in the suggestions.

Hi there @lionmaki! Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

It's currently not possible to remove the Podcasts suggestions or edit the home screen content, however, we recommend looking at this Live Idea suggesting implementing this feature.

You can support the idea by adding your +VOTE and clicking on Subscribe in the three-dots menu at the top right corner next to the title. That'll make sure you stay up-to-date with any relevant updates about this. It’s also worth knowing that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.

Hope this clears things up. Let me know if you have further questions.

Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

That idea was set to "Not Right Now" some time ago - not sure how it's "live". I posted a similar idea shortly after this and it seems to have gotten merged with this topic, which I also don't appreciate.

This is just ridiculous and creates a really bad UX.

I don't want to have to accept that a really offensive cover of a podcast I would never listen to is on MY startpage.

Why not let me click a small x next to it and problem solved? That way your algorithm could even learn something.

way to lose customers, spotify 🙂

This really needs addressed, I'm currently getting recommended content from a dude who has promoted terrorism in the past, no idea why that's even on spotify never mind getting pushed like this.

Yeah, pushing content I have not asked for is annoying. This happens when you give UX/PM departments too much importance...

i have really unrelated and inappropriate stuff on my feed and its so annoying

A very simple answer just to get rid of customers.

I would appreciate honesty. Just tell us that the "suggested for you" part on the homescreen generates money and therefore spotify just simply does not care about a few couple of thousand subscribers.

That would very much be appreciated.
