'Something went wrong' message on home page

My Question or Issue

Home page only shows 'Something went wrong' message. Clicking 'reload' option does not help. Have tried logging in on the app, Chrome, Edge and Firefox, message is the same on each. Have tried following suggestions in Help section, including uninstalling and reinstalling the app. 

 

I am able to log in on this device with another account, with no issues. I am also able to use my account on my iPhone, with no issues.

Hey @metal_firecracker thanks for asking in the Community!

 

To confirm the issue that you are facing: you are unable to use your account on the web player and the desktop app but the same account works on your phone. Other accounts also work on the desktop app and the web player. 

 

Here are a few steps that you can try:

 

  • Log into Spotify.com
  • Visit your account section here.
  • Scroll down to the Security and Privacy section.
  • Click Sign out everywhere.
  • Try logging into your desktop app again.

 

Please note that this will log you out everywhere and you might lose the downloaded content. You can always re-download those easily.
