At least monthly spotify becomes unpinned from my taskbar. It seems to happen everytime there is a new update to the app ready to install, but before it is installed. It only started happening 6 or so months ago when I switched to the Windows app.
No other programs become unpinned including other windows apps, wolfram alpha and calculator.
Spotify ver. 1.0.74.380.g1fcff12a (Windows Store version)
Windows 10 Edu. ver. 16299.248
I too am having this problem, and is frustrating the living S**t out of me!
Spotify, can you get this fixed please!!
for me, it's every day. Spotify will not stay pinned.
This isn’t a total solution but one thing you can do is go to “Settings”, “Advanced Settings” then “Startup and Window Behaviour” and turn on “Open Spotify automatically after you log into the computer” and “Close button should minimize the Spotify window”. This will ensure that Spotify will always stay in your taskbar.
Haven't had this happen for some time, has anyone else?
Have Spotify changed something maybe?
It happens several times a day for me. It's extremely frustrating!
If you are a windows user, I found that simply searching "spotify" in your taskbar search, right click, app settings, repair. Should fix the issue
I had the same issue. Repairing the app using the "repair" option from the app settings didn't work. Disabling the "enable hardware acceleration" option under compatibility section from Spotify's settings solved the issue.
