My Question or Issue

Every time i reboot my PC and open Spotify, the app starts up at 100% volume.

If I reduce the volume by half, close the app fully and re-open it without shutting down/rebotting my PC, the volume level was retained. Only if my PC goes through a shut down/restart cycle will it revert back to 100%.

I have tried to do a clean reinstall of Spotify with no luck.

This started happening after I upgraded to Win11 from Win10.

Hi @frozen6169,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

To begin with, can you let us know if you're connected to external speakers by either Bluetooth or cable or if you're using your PC's integrated audio when this happens? On another note, you can try switching the Audio Normalization on the desktop app off or on and check if that makes a difference. You can check this article for more info.

You could also check your Windows sound settings when you right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and choose Open Volume mixer to see if the sound of Spotify is synced with the system's sound.

Lastly, could you try logging in with a different account and check if you have the same issue? It could be a family member or friend's account.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply!
