This occurs after hibernating and waking the computer. The program states that "this song is not available", no matter what song it is. I also cannot add songs to the play queue. Closing and restarting the program does not fix the problem, nor does uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I am running Spotify 1.0.42.151.g19de0aa6 on Windows 7.
Howdy!
Have you tried the solution in this thread?: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Linux-Windows-Web-Player/quot-This-track-is-not-available-q...
Let me know if this works for you.
Happy Spotifying!

I always have an audio output device connected, so this is not the issue.
Have you tried disconnecting and connecting your wifi?
That does not seem to have an effect.
I did uncheck "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" in the Advanced tab of Communication Headphones Properties - so far, this seems to have mitigated the problem.
This is an ongoing issue for Spotify - a quick Google search shows tons of questions on it. Spotify has not offered a real solution. Solutions offered that have not worked for me:
-Changing the output method (already have an output)
-Changing the speaker settings
-Uninstall and reinstall
-Deleting "local files" from appdata folder
-Removing the computer from my offline devices and resetting
-Downgrading Spotify (it upgrades every time you restart it)
This is an utterly ridiculous issue that hundreds of people are having. Spotify needs to fix it, and stop offering BS solutions that don't address the problem.
I should add - the downgrade DOES work, as long as it's downgraded. It is the only "solution" that has fixed this for me. If you'd like to revert your version, you can do so with this link: http://upgrade.spotify.com/upgrade/client/win32-x86/spotify_installer-1.0.7.157.g2a6526f9-88.exe
Have you guys tried clearing your Spotify cache?
how do I do that?
Thanks; I will try this. I agree this is a frustrating problem. Spotify should know that I would consider upgrading to premium if I could count on the app to work.
Hey - My bad!!
Spotify is currently investigating this - it is under the ongoing issues forum.

Hope this gets fixed.

I tried clearing my cache too 😕 No dice.
I AM Premium and it still doesn't work 🙂
You are a better person than I!
I will wait to see if Spotify wants to fix this problem before giving them my money.
