Hey there, @Singularity0880,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Is it the app's volume slider that's not working or Windows'? Perhaps both?

Are you hearing any audio? If not, it's worth checking if Spotify has been muted accidentally in the Windows Volume Mixer. Also, make sure that the correct output device is set for the Spotify app, and that the sample rate is set to anywhere between 44.1 kHz and 192 kHz. There's a detailed guide on how to do that here.

Something else you can do is disable the communication settings, as well as Exclusive Mode and audio enhancements in Windows:

Spoiler
  1. Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound > Sound Control Panel, switch to the Communications tab and set "When Windows detects communications activity" to Do nothing.
  2. Head back to the Playback tab, then right-click your audio output device and select Properties. In the new window that pops up, switch to the Advanced tab and untick "Exclusive Mode" + "Enable audio enhancements".

Lastly, I'd recommend making sure you're running the latest sound driver updates for your device.

Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes 👍
