Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.
If you haven't tried yet, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but itโs more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.
If the issue persists, would you mind trying with a different Wi-Fi network to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can try with a mobile data hotspot.
Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
Hi, i tried both reinstalling Spotify, as well as connecting using a hotspot but neither solution worked. i appreciate your help though
(here is a video of it happening if it helps)

Hey @teomas1,
Thanks for the video!
Could you let us know if this behavior has started after a recent app or OS update?
And, aside from this, we can do some more troubleshooting here. See if removing the hosts file entries (if any are present) and disabling the Hardware Acceleration setting would make a difference:
Should the issue persist after this, let us know if the volume delays are occurring when listening to only a specific library item (e.g. longer playlists, podcasts, etc.) and, if possible, log in with someone else's account (or a new free account for testing purposes) and take a look if there would be any change in the app behaviour.
Many thanks! We'll be on the lookout for your reply ๐
From my memory, i dont think there was any app/os update that caused this problem, but i think it started happening around a week ago (7th december onwards).
i checked the hosts file and spotify wasn't present
Disabling hardware acceleration didn't change the behaviour of the app
The volume delays occur when listening to pretty much anything lol, and the issue also persisted when i tried logging into an alternate account. I feel like i should also mention that the first song i play when opening the app plays at FULL volume and then changes shortly after
Hey there @teomas1,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Based on the things you mentioned, it sounds like the issue is device-related. In this case, could you check if the OS of your PC has any pending updates? Also, we'd like to know if you're experiencing the same issue on the web player.
Lastly, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device would come in handy.
We'll be waiting for your reply.
Windows 11 fully updated, and it seems that the web player doesn't have the same issue! But the app still has it. Below is the version of Spotify that I have installed. I'm not sure what you mean by exact make/model of my device but if you could clarify further I'd be happy to provide

I have a related issue with the sound, and I want to try this sollution, but I can't find any of the buttons you mention. Where are they? EDIT I realized you were talking about the windows control panel, which I didn't realize was called the control panel in English (in Dutch it is called configuratiescherm, which is quite different from control panel)
LOL, did you end up being able to find what i was talking about though?
Yeah, didn't help
