My Question or Issue

Within the last week my computer was upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Among the myriad of program issues I'm now having to deal with, Spotify app for Desktop has basically become a search device with no playing ability. I have deleted Spotify and re-installed several times this afternoon. I've tried downloading the app from the Spotify site and the Microsoft Store. I've tried just about every possible fix that I can find online. Nothing seems to work. I can log into the webplayer and everything works fine. Everything works fine on my Android telephone, as well. An IT friend of mine has also tried to help. And he can't figure out what the issue is either.

I can, of course, use the webplayer. But, it is very strange that the Windows app simply won't play anything. I've been a Premium user since that was possible and I've never encountered an issue that was this difficult to solve. For the past few months Spotify app constantly told me to upgrade my OS. But, the app kept working as it should. Now, I've upgraded and installed the newest version of the app and it doesn't work. HMMMMMM!!!!!???

Anyone? Anyone?

This issue is like a plague and a lot of people are experiencing it. Take a look at this https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/quot-Spotify-can-t-play-this-right-now-quot-FIX/td-...

hopefully this fixes it, not the OP of it nor experienced this issue but take a shot maybe it does work 🙂

Cheers! Tried the fix, but no joy. They are talking about capping the Windows sound sampling rate at 192kHz. I see no way to change my sampling rate and it's set way below 192kHz, anyway. Mine is pegged at CD quality 44.1kHz.
