Wrong "Date Added" on songs in playlist

Solved!

Wrong "Date Added" on songs in playlist

All of a sudden 20 songs in my playlist that I added around 5 years ago says that they were added 2016-12-16. I always sort my playlists by recently added so I get the most fresh songs on top and this screws up that philosophy.

Re-installing my Spotify actually helped. My playlist is now back to normal! 🙂
I was a bit iffy on doing that, because as you said, I would not know what version of my playlist I'd end up with in the end. Thanks! 😄

Yeah, I am having the exact same problem. I started my main playlist in 2009, and have built it up to nearly 3000 songs since then, and sorted the playlist chronologically. Newest songs displayed first. Some time last week, several hundred or so songs got pushed upwards to the top, displaying as "Added a minute ago", when they in fact were added several years ago. Checked the mobile app too, just to be sure, but the playlist was just fine on my phone. A bug in the desktop version maybe? Very frustrating.

Sorry if this is not the correct place to post, I am brand new here. 🙂

Exactly the same problem here and it's extremely annoying! Its only wrong my work computer. On my home computer and phone it's still correct dates, but I'm not sure if that's because the playlist on my work computer is bugged or that the playlists on my other devices are not synced correctly. In other words, if I were to re-install spotify and all remove all cached spotify data on all my machines and devices, it's hard to say which version of my playlists I get, and this conundrum is even more frustrating than the actual problem 😐
