If you're using the Spotify web player, you can't change songs using your keyboard like you can in the Spotify desktop or mobile app. However, there are browser extensions you can download that will add Spotify music controls to your browser, allowing you to skip, pause, and play songs without leaving the webpage you're on.

Hi all,

I'm currently playing Spotify through the web player in Chrome, and I can control it via my keyboard's media keys, the media button in Chrome (screenshot #1), and the media controls in Windows (screenshot #2), even when I have Chrome minimized.

If you are using Chrome or Edge, please be sure you're on the newest version by opening the hamburger menu, and going to Help and About Google Chrome/Microsoft Edge. Your browser should then automatically update to the newest version.
