fullscreen button not showing

the fullscreen button next to the miniplayer button doesn't appear. but on the spotify web the button appears

Full screen lyrics is my favorite way to listen to music. This change needlessly removes a feature. So, my feedback is I'll be cancelling for the first time in 10 years until it's back.

You also can't see the name of the song big on the screen like before.. it's just in a little bar at the bottom.  You young "coders" really don't know anything about customer service and making a product that people want.

This was a feature that I used frequently. I have a PC connected to my TV and would go fullscreen in lyrics mode to help prevent screen burn-in while idly playing music in the background. This change sucks.

This change is horrendous. Why would you make the song title and artist name so incredibly tiny? If Spotify is in fullscreen mode, it's because I'm not sitting and working at the computer. That should be painfully obvious. Make the song title and artist info HUGE so we can see it from across the room. This redesign is such a regression in quality. What used to be one click [and look great], is now one click to expand, another click as far away as possible to expand again, and then a third click to enter full screen. And once you've done all of that, you can barely see the song info and the player controls disappear literally every 2 seconds that you don't move the mouse. Whoever made this change should be embarrassed and no longer in charge of user interface decisions.

until yesterday, I was able to enjoy the lyrics with the full screen button, but now it has been replaced by miniplayer button

Hi Yordan, 

Did this change get reverted? I actually enjoyed the change and I was hoping to use it today, but couldnt find it. Finding this thread, I understand a lot of the feedback was for people having issues navigating or for a simpler display, but I loved the change and was looking for what happened to it. I hope to be a voice for those who had no issues with and/or enjoyed the change as I believe we were underrepresented from the feedback in this thread as we had no need to come here, I myself was too busy enjoying the change!

Please let me know if I will be able to enjoy this feature again.

Well I guess you can't please everyone! I for one and happy that the UI change got reverted but sadly the fix to keep the monitor on (override Windows screen timeout) while in Spotify full screen was also lost - not surprising since it didn't work in this version previously. But hope ongoing work on this can bring that over (or kept on the new feature if that gets put back after some improvements).

For the people who liked the previously new view, it seems like adding options to show album, artist background, or both (along with lyrics) would be the best of all worlds.

I also liked the fullscreen with large album cover. I appreciate being able to see the art of an album cover in large and in detail, is one of the reasons I love vinyl too. Being able to change the layout or background of the fullscreen view was a good idea. For those who prefer to focus on artists, album covers or lyrics.

This new feature sucks. It requires way more clicks and looks awful compared to the old version.

Why would the lyrics be excluded from the full-screen option? It makes no sense whatsoever. At this point, you are just changing unnecessarily and adding things that are not helpful.
