"Something went wrong" error message when trying to launch app on laptop.

I have a new windows laptop and installed spotify app yesterday. Every time I try to launch app I get sent to website which then gives me a link to open the app. I click link and get error message above. I have seen that there is a recent issue with the same subject which has been closed by MihailY on Friday saying the issue is solved. I am having the same issue.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community about this. 

Just to make sure we've covered all the basics, would you mind confirming if you've already tried to perform a clean reinstall of the app? If not, we'd recommend following the steps mentioned in this article. 

Also, could you check with a different network connection to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one, you can use a mobile data hotspot to test it.

Lastly, include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
