spotify desktop app very slow and freezes

So every time I open the spotify desktop app it works for 5 minutes then when I try clicking to another song it doesn't work at all and will skip the song after like 30 seconds but when I exit spotify completely the music continues to play and when I re open spotify it says its not responding yet it's still playing the music till I force it close with task manager. I've tried to install the Microsoft store version. reinstalling the app completely. updating my PC and all it's drivers. and my internet is relatively fast so I have no clue on why it's doing it.

Thanks for reaching out. The most likely cause of this is that some file was not updated correctly during the last update of the app. Consider checking for the following:

• Other devices, including smart speakers, smart watches, TVs and the like that may be linked to your Spotify account that might interfere 
• Other PCs that might start it via Connect

We see you`ve tried performing a reinstall, but we would suggest to try performing the uninstall by following the steps listed in this article here.

hi I tried this exactly and it still freezes up after about a minute 
the songs stop playing and it just no longer works and it doesn't let me exit out of the program still.
