Return Hearts to add songs to liked songs playlist

I literally don't care if there are a thousand posts like this one. How come every update Spotify seems to make it harder and harder to manage your account!

Bring back the hearts buttons to add songs to liked songs playlist. It was so simple and easy. Now everytime I want to add a song to that playlist I first have to find it and just to find out it was already there bc you took off the heart icon that used to indicate songs were already liked.

Literally pick one way for things to work out and stick to it! Every update is a giant mess.

I literally just sought out the Spotify forum for the first time in years because I got so annoyed at how liking songs suddenly works on my desktop client.

I VERY RARELY use playlists, just give me back the damn heart button instead of making me do three clicks per song to accomplish the same thing.

To be honest for me it works if I have never saved the song in any other playlist before. Not sure if what I'm seeing is related but I think it might be a bug with playlists you own.

I have a backlog playlist where I like to save things to listen to later. I like to spend my time going through it and save things along the way to my liked songs. Although I do love the fact I can see all the playlists I've added a song to, now I have no idea where I left off nor what songs I already liked at a quick glance because I have to take an extra step by clicking the like icon first to see what playlists it's in. Again, hoping it's just a bug because I don't see how it can't be both. Playlists that you don't own seem to work just fine and mark the songs in your Liked playlist correctly, but this does not work when you look at your own playlists.

If I click the Like icon on the first song in this playlist, it's a one-click process. After that because it's already in my liked songs it's a multi-step process to either remove from the liked songs playlist or to add it to any other playlist.
