Separate Mono and Stereo Settings for Headphones and Speakers

When I listen to music on my headphones, I find the mono sound setting on Spotify much more satisfying, especially as my hearing in one ear is worse than the other. I know lots of other people prefer mono for headphones, for example, when they're exercising and only want to use one earbud and be aware of their surroundings, or two people sharing a single set of earphones to listen to the same music on the bus or train.

When I am listening in the car, at home or in the garden I find the stereo setting on Spotify much better, especially on my home surround sound system. I also prefer stereo when I'm with friends - it gives a better feel in bigger spaces.

I can go to settings and switch between Mono and Stereo, but it's frustrating to have to do this each time I switch. I'd love to be able to have the option to set Mono/ Stereo separately based on the type of device I'm using to listen (Headphones/ Speakers).
