TURN OFF PERSONALISED PLAYLISTS

Recently, Spotify started customizing its own playlists (ie Spotify curated) based on what I like, but I go to these playlists (decades, dinner music playlists, etc.) to listen to something I don't usually listen to.

Spotify, please stop customizing your own playlists to me and just play its standard curated playlist like it used to.

I haaattttteee personalized playlists. I literally first got a Spotify account, so I can explore new music. These custom playlists make me feel like I'm listening to the same songs over and over again.

This is a great idea. I liked Spotify so much more when I could explore different Spotify playlists and radios that weren't personalized. I feel like every Spotify playlist is just an echo chamber now. Stop trying to personalize everything. I want to explore playlists that feature something DIFFERENT.

I go to these playlists to find different music and what’s trending — i don’t want it personalized to me! Just keeps showing the same songs. People like some degree of personalization but making next to every playlist “made for you” takes it too far. We want to find NEW music on our own!

This is the worst Idea Spotify has ever had. I don't know who got it first and who actually made it happen but they obviously have no clue what they are doing. The single good thing about Spotify is discovering new music and exploring new genres which this feature makes not completely impossible but it makes it much more annoying.

I really hope this idea gains traction. Spotify has been my favourite app up until recently - now I feel so frustrated that everyone playlist is "made for" me - because it means I am stuck in a loop / echo chamber of music I have already listened to. It makes it very repetitive and narrow. Like many of your users, I have broad music tastes and don't want to be re-presented with the same same artists and songs I've already heard - I want to hear what others are listening to and what is new and exciting. Some of my favourite playlists are now ruined because they've become "For me" and therefore just repeating and replaying the familiar. Please, Spotify, at least give me the option to remove the "Made for..."

**bleep** thank you! I thought I was going crazy! I knew Beast Mode shouldn't be entirely composed of hip hop. I just want a workout playlist! Hard rock, some metal, drill rap, DMX, etc. Not f'ing Drake and Doja Cat! I NEVER listen to metal except when working out, so I NEED a playlist that isn't based on me! There are enough customized ones already. Give me back what I pay for!

Exactly, same comments as everyone else here. As a music lover nothing beats being surprised by new music. and I mean, COMPLETELY new music. How hard is this to grasp? 
Would't surpise me if there is some sort of business model behind this "echo chamber" experience Spotify is offering us now.
