48 Hours to send a Device Password?!

48 Hours to send a Device Password?!

 

Why does it take 48 hours to get a device password?!

I went to https://www.spotify.com/us/account/set-device-password/ and it tells me my Spotify account number. I click on the "Send e-mail to set password" button. And I never get the password email.

I try again. Nothing.

I try again the next day. Nothing.

I check my spam mailbox. Nothing.

I sumit a question via About > Contact Us. And I get the "Spotify Case #" message IMMEDIATELY.

Then I search the forums more closely and find a common response, "It can take up to 48 hours to receive your Spotify Device Password." WTF???

How could it possibly take two days to get a device password? It is obviously not a technical issue, I can't fathom a process that takes 48 hours to compete. So it must be a policy. Why in God's name would you want people to wait 48 hours??? Aren't you trying to sell this service as easy to use, instant gratification, and worth the monthly fee?

Come on!

I hate it too. I think its because the system that runs Spotify is so f***ed up and they probably refuse to improve or change it.
