Access To Concert Tickets For Favorite Artist When In Town

Access To Concert Tickets For Favorite Artist When In Town

IN-APP CONCERT TICKETS: Provide in-app notification and purchase of tickets to listeners’ favorite artists when they are touring locally. Spotify gets a cut of ticket sales, and listeners become more informed of when performers they like are in town and gain a simplified ticket purchasing experience to their favorite artists—win/win! Allow customers to select which artists and provide limits for distance.

Hey there @TriciaHyer,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community!

We moved your post from Ideas to the help boards since we already offer a way for fans to get concert tickets in presale as well as merch from their favorite artists. We'd suggest taking a look at this support article for more info on how to get these emails.

Additionally, you can find upcoming shows on your favorite artist's page, just keep in mind that it's up to the artist to upload the info or not.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here.

Cheers!

I think a nice touch to this year's Spotify wrapped was the videos from your top artist. It felt personal and almost like a reward for being a loyal listener. My suggestion is that Spotify takes this further and works with artists to supply the top 5% (or 1% depending on what is more feasible) of fans with exclusives such as concert tickets, merch, or special discount codes to use for the artist's shows/merch/etc. This could be a cool way to get some mega-fans of certain artists to make the switch to Spotify, and could incentivize listeners to stream more songs from their favorite artists. These "exclusives" would be available to only those in the top 5% (or 1%).
