My Question or Issue

Since updating the Spotify app I'm struggling to get it to play on the Auto. If the phones locked it says I need to download Spotify and unless the phone is unlocked it won't let me use voice commands to skip and such. Its only Spotify I'm struggling with the auto does every other command.

Hi there @CharRoseW,

Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community 🙂

Give these steps a try and let us know how it goes:

1. Unlink your Spotify and Alexa accounts by following these steps.

2. Run a clean reinstall of the app. This is different than a quick reinstall and could be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. You'll find the steps to do it here.

3. Link your accounts again.

If the issue persists, try logging in to your account from a different phone and let us know if the same happens when trying to use your Echo Auto. Also, do let us know the Spotify version you're running and the make, model, and OS version of the other phone with which you tried.

We'll be looking out for your reply.
