I am experiencing the same issue.  One morning spotify just started beeping on startup.  I've uninstall the windows app.  Downloaded a new copy.  Reinstalled same thing.

I've deleted my spotify folder out of AppData. Deleted spotify registry keys.  I've watched it startup in sysinsternals ProcMon, but it's unclear what is causing the loop.

I am experiencing the same thing. This happened since our company uses roaming profile for our windows workstations. I noticed in processes a process spotifywebhelper got stuck. tried reinstalling after deleting appdata, still not working. i use now spotify web. but it seems like the sound is not as nice. i am on premium.

Spotify is installing itself by default in a home directory on a shared drive (redirected home folder) rather than Program Files.

This is causing the app not to work and beep only.   I works fine if you copy it to Program Files, but every time Spotify updates, it seems to move itself back.  I copy it back to program files and all is well again.  Would be nice if this could be addressed. This started to be an issue a couple of updates ago.

Does Spotify monitor these posts?  This is still broken.  Is there any move from the developers at looking at this issue?  Is there an install option to install to c:\program files\ again?
