My Question or Issue
Best feature from Spotify is Autoplay, as it allows you to discover new music as related to your most liked/played songs. I recently purchased several Alexa devices, but Autoplay doesnt' work when using any of them. But it works perfect when using Spotify app or Google assistant in my car. How to solve this??

Hello Fernando,
we're excited to let you know that Autoplay now works on your Alexa devices. To make sure it's turned on, go to your Alexa Music settings and make sure Autoplay is turned on there, as well as in your Spotify settings (where it probably is on already).
Thanks so much for reporting this issue,
Hey @Fernando74,
Thank you for posting and welcome to the Community!
We understand that you've experienced an issue with the Autoplay feature while using you Amazon smart speakers. This is odd, as the Autoplay should be working as expected on those devices. Please make sure that the firmware of all the Alexa devices you've purchased is up to date, as well as the apps that you're using in that setup (including the Spotify app). You can also double-check if the Autoplay feature is set up correctly for your devices here.
If the above doesn't help you can also check this troubleshooting article by Amazon, or address the situation with their Support team as they can provide more adequate support for their speakers.
Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.
It doesn't work with me either. My echo dot speakers are set as a pair hence they're with the latest firmware. It worked fine previously.
Hey @AnthonySoprano,
Thank you for your reply in this thread.
Just to check, have you tried restarting your devices and your router to make sure everything is synced up?
It's also a good idea to disconnect and re-connect your Spotify account to your Alexa account.
On another note, can you share with us if the Autoplay works fine when you're streaming directly from your phone?
We'll be on the lookout for your response
Hi! Mine also doesn’t work through Echo Dot. When I go onto Spotify it has greyed out playback and says “these options are not available when listening through another device.” Is it possible to solve this?
Hey everyone,
Apologies for the confusion.
The Autoplay feature is currently not available for Alexa-enabled devices. As a workaround, you can start the playback on a different device, wait for the first suggested song to start playing and then transfer the playback to the Alexa-enabled device.
We hope this helps!
Hi,
Any update on this? Mine’s not working too 😞
Hi,
The way you suggested is not a workaround to the original problem (which is about playing music using Alexa) since your solution requires not using Alexa.
Any updates about the original problem?
