Can I download my own CDs?

Can I download my own CDs?

I'd like to download some of my own CDs to my library and playlists.  Is that something I can do on Spotify?

Hey @Linda55, thanks for reaching out!

Sure you can! The first thing you have to do is add your own music files to your Spotify library if you've ripped the CDs to your computer.

If you haven't, just use software like iTunes, Windows Media Player, or VLC to rip your CDs into audio files on your computer. Save the files in a common format like MP3 or AAC.

Then, open Spotify on your computer, go to Settings (top-right corner), scroll down to Local Files and toggle it on.

Click Add a source and select the folder where your ripped files are stored. Your music will now appear in the Local Files section of your library.

Just keep in mind that local files can only be played on the devices where they are stored and synced.

Let me know if you need further help!
