I have declined to use the Private Messenger feature for personal reasons, but the notification for it still appears in my profile. Is this some kind of glitch? This has been bugging me as of late and I am looking for a way to stop this issue.
EDIT: This notification only appears on the Spotify Community website, not the app itself.

Hi!
This is expected. As the PM function is quite important on the Community, we want to make it clear that it's disabled by default.
The notification will disappear only if the PM function is enabled. To enable it follow the steps:
You will be taken back to the agreement page but if you check your notifications, you'll notice the exclamation mark is gone and clicking on the envelope will open your PMs.
If you ever want to recede your agreement open your Community profile settings > Personal > Private Messenger to get to the agreement page again.
Hope this clears it up, take care!
Hi, I had this glitch on a none original version of Spotify , I try to uninstall app and download and install it from play-store and that solve the problem.
It also happens to me, but on browser.
EDIT: PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
This is happening to me now on the desktop site. I had an exclamation point on the envelope icon in my user profile drop-down here, which takes me to a messages tab, which gives me the Accept > Confirm consent loop. I don't know what Spotify is trying to tell me. I don't even see the point of the Confirm page, it doesn't even state what I'm confirming.

"expected"? This just seems like bad UX.
No matter which button you press, you're always left with:
*****
Private Messenger Consent Agreement
To use Private Messenger you need to be 18 or over. By clicking Accept you declare that you are aged 18 or over.
I understand and accept that the Private Messenger function is not a secure and confidential environment for exchanging personal messages. Third parties, such as service provider administrators and other personnel, could theoretically take note of these messages. I can revoke this consent at any time. I understand that if I don't give consent or later revoke my consent, I will not be able to use the Private Messenger function.and no indication what the current setting value is (other than a short-lived, one-time message).
If it was already accepted, you'd think there would only be a decline option.
I don't know why you haven't opted for an obvious toggle switch. "Allow private messages (on/off):"
And you probably might want to have such a toggle also exist inside PM when it's enabled so a user knows the option exists to disable it.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
