Hi @codenamezjames,

Thanks for contacting our Community!
We would like to know a few more details before we can dig into this one 🙂

Have you tried to unpair the devices and pair them again or any other troubleshooting steps?
Did everything work well before or has it always been like this? When did the issue start?

It would also be very helpful if you could tell us the exact model of the Pixel Watch, its OS version, and the versions of the Spotify app on your devices so we can investigate the issue further. If there are updates available for any of the devices, we would recommend that you install them. You can also try to reinstall the app on the watch.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes!

I have the same problem with the app, but only when using Google Watch to control music on my phone. When I use my headphones connected to the watch the app works properly. But when I want to control music on my phone - it shows me one song, constantly playing, but it is not playing, when I try to choose a different song or control anything - don't work, it seems it stuck somehow. I tried to disconnect, reinstall, reboot, and even return to the factory installation of the watch - nothing helped.

Google Watch Pixel 2, version of Android 13.

Phone - Honor 20, Android 10, Magic UI version - 4.0

Spotify is up to date. Plan - premium.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @OlegSemenov,

Thanks for the reply. Could you please provide us the following:

  • Does the watch work as expected when paired with another device? Please test this if you haven't already, you can use another person's phone if necessary.
  • When did this first happen? Did it coincide with an update to the watch, phone or Spotify app?
  • If possible, could you make a video of the behaviour and send it to us? If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Keep us posted.
