Can you play songs from Spotify when you have purchased a music license?

We are a funeral home that has purchased a music license through the ICCFA (International Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Association) which offers music licensing with ASCAP, BMI and SESAC. We need a streaming service that will enable us to play single tracks during the funeral service. Are we okay using Spotify if we have the above license?

Hello there,

Thanks for reaching out. Spotify is intended for personal use only and it's not allowed to be played in public places, so please refrain from playing Spotify in your establishment. Perhaps it would be best if you can reach out to the organization you mention that provides you your license and discuss with them how they will grant you access to music. Alternatively, consider checking out our partners from Soundtrack Your Brand, they offer music licenses for commercial use.

Hope this clears things up.
