Cannot get samsung soundbar (N850) to connect to spotify

My Question or Issue

The sasmsung soundbar is on WIFI but I cannot get the Echo Plus to play Spotify on the sound bar.  The sound bar doesn't even show up under Spotify's "Devices available".  Anyone have success with this?

Further to this, I just spoke to Samsung support who stated that I should get Spotify app support to help with this since the soundbar is working on Amazon Music.

Before you can ask Alexa to play music on your Soundbar, you'll need to connect your Spotify account to your Alexa account. Here you can read how to do this.
