Chromecast Audio intermittent

Hi,
I recently started using a Chromecast Audio. It's all set up and was working fine for a few days, but a week ago it started behaving very intermittently. It appears as an available device less than half the time. I have tried restarting it and unplugging it, restarting and logging out and back into Spotify, restarting the wireless router.

I am using Android 6.0.1 on a Oneplus 3, my flatmate is having the exact same trouble using a different phone.

Same thing using Spotify in IOS and on Chrome in a Macbook Pro.

I have exactly this issue. I'm using a Google Nexus 5X and around half the time I can't see my chromecast audio devices!

Casting from Google Play Music seems to work fine, so it looks like the issue is with the Spotify app?

Any ideas...
