Crashes on Fire TV Stick and FireTV

Crashes on Fire TV Stick and FireTV

Hello,

there are crashes when you skip over a lot of tracks.

With skipping is also meant short listening of multiple track sections and skipping the track. It happens when I'm searching for new music. Often I won't listen to the whole song. I first hear the characteristic sections and then decide to hear or not.

This happens on Fire TV (first 4k generation) and the latest Fire TV Stick connected with Spotify Connect. It makes no difference controlling Spotify with the Fire TV remote or with the iOS Client. It will crash every 20? tracks. (Didn't count)

Listening on iOS and this don't happen.

Are there any ways to fix that?

Thanks

Hello,

I have seen that behavior as well. Workaround is to have occasional "pauses" before you skip next. It seems the problem is because FireTV is "very lazy" on reclaiming unused memory back and eventually it runs out of it. Making interaction "pauses" somehow triggers memory clean up.

It seems like the new spotify app will prevent this...but I‘m not sure I skiped enough :‘D
