Embed Player Normal Tab vs Private Tab

I've embedded a playlist on my site. I wanted when I clicked on the play button that it started playing both the site and the app (at least the progress of the song was still on the web). This does not happen if I'm navigating through the normal chrome tab. When I'm surfing normally it plays 30 seconds or (when logged in) it plays the whole song, everything on the web, but this does not happen when I'm in a private tab. When I'm using a private tab and I click to play the playlist, it plays in the application and shows the progress bar on the web, which is the way I'd like it to be. How do I place it in the normal tab?
