Enable Navigation Between Podcast Episodes (Next/Previous)

Enable Navigation Between Podcast Episodes (Next/Previous)

Navigating between podcast episodes is quite challenging due to the lack of next/previous episode buttons. For instance, if I’m listening to episode 70 and want to switch to episode 71, I have to click on the podcast title, scroll through the list, and manually select the episode. It would be much more user-friendly to include features for both time jumps and seamless episode navigation. Additionally, showing the current episode within the list would greatly improve the overall navigation experience. Just a suggestion from a product designer! 🙂

Hi there @Hadas_m99,

Thanks for reaching out. We've moved your post here where it better fits.

It should be possible to change podcast episodes on any device:

  • On desktop or the web player you should have both 15 second skips and Next/Previous buttons, meaning you can change easily
  • On mobile, you'll only have dedicated 15 second skip buttons but you can still change to the next or previous episode by swiping left or right on the cover image, the same way it works on a song.

Regarding you suggestion for showing episodes in the list, the currently playing episode should be highlighted and you should be able to see if an episode has been played or not. If this doesn't cover what you want to see, you're welcome to elaborate on that again, posting suggestion one at a time and making sure they don't overlap with existing features.

Feel free to submit a new idea - just make sure to familiarize yourself with the above guidelines.

Hope this clears things up.
