Entire Spotify App Randomly Graying Out

My Question or Issue

I've been noticing lately the screen on Spotify app sometimes grays out and freezes. Exiting the app and entering it again helps, and so does swiping the screen up, though I still get it from time to time. Sometimes it happens before/after an ad plays, sometimes when it's been a while before/after an ad plays. Any idea on what might be the cause(s) of this glitch, and are there any ways this can be fixed?

Thanks for reaching out. This is quite odd and we haven't seen any reports of similar behaviour recently, but we'll be glad to look into this for you.

A clean reinstall is always a good start. It's known to resolve a multitude of issues and hopefully this will be another one of them. Try it if you haven't already. If the issue persists afterwards, please send us a screen recording of the exact behaviour so we can look into it further. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.
