Forgets queue every single time app, desktop app, or web player closes

Forgets queue every single time app, desktop app, or web player closes

If I tell Spotify to play my liked songs on shuffle and then close the app, if comes up with a new queue so it just plays the same songs it just did, or if I tell it to play by another category like alphabetical order it goes back to being shuffled every single time even if the app is in the background for 10 minutes

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

Just to confirm, does this happen when closing the app completely? Or does it also happen when leaving the app and music to run in the background?

Have you noticed if this happens at any specific points? For example, after adding more songs to the queue or after opening the app on another device.

If possible, feel free to include a video or screenshot showing how things look from your end, so that we can have a look as well.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

I have had a similar experience. Multiple times, while using the Web Player on Chromebook, I will be listening to my Liked Songs playlist on shuffle, but the Queue for the playlist will re-shuffle if I pause playback, close the tab (without losing internet connection), and open the Web Player from the same device a while later, usually the next day.

What is especially confusing is that the queue will appear the same as the day before until I resume playback of the song I paused, which will cause the queue to re-shuffle. As far as I've seen, this only happens on the Web Player in Chrome in the scenario described above, because my queues remain in order when I leave the Web Player playing while working in a different tab, as well as when I use the Spotify app on iOS.
