How can I change the Discovery Weekly picture if I created my Spotify account using Facebook?

I have looked through the request Re: How can I change the Discovery Weekly picture if I created my Spotify account using FB directly?

...and have not found an answer to my problem. 

Thus, I will bump the ticket back up to the top of the queue in a new request. 

The original poster's suggested solution was that, in a future update the image should change. What constitutes an update? Just the following week's new Discover Weekly playlist update? Or a major versioning up of the Spotify Application?

I've waited several months and the image remains the same.

Have you tried disconnecting fb from your account, and later on reconnecting it?

It should use your current fb profile pic as a new image.

I've looked all around the https://www.spotify.com/us/account/overview/ and am not finding the option. Am I just missing it?

If that's the case, my suggestion would be for you to create a new account with a different email address from the one you use for facebook (past or present). That will give you a Spotify username of your choice, so you won't have to rely on facebook anymore.

Once you have this new account, contact customer support and they'll help you migrate your Premium privileges (if you have them), library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account.

If you like you can link this new account to your facebook again, but now you won't have to rely in the facebook login process, since you'll have your very own Spotify username.

Having said that, the option appears inside the Preferences section (Edit > Preferences) of the Desktop app, but I wouldn't recommend it since you may lose access to your account. 😕
