Hi there,

Can you tell us a bit more about your issue? For example is this happening on a specific device and have you tried any troubleshooting yet, such as rebooting and reinstalling?

It would really help if you could send over the following details:

  • Since when is this happening?
  • From where do you try to start the playback (playlist, album, etc.)?
  • Can you play other songs from the same artists?
  • What's the exact make, model and OS Version of your affected device(s) and what Spotify Version do you have?
  • Send us the URIs of the affected tracks
  • If possible send some screenshots or a short recording, so we can see what's happening on your end

Note that we're aware of current playback issues on the desktop app. Have a look here to see if you're experiencing the same issue - if so, please follow the instructions in the status update.

Keep us posted!

still cannot play Ed Sheeran's Perfect in Sporify.

Hey @thevoyagersbike,

Thank you for your reply in this thread.

If this song is grayed out and gives an error when you try to play it - there are a few possible reasons as to why this might be happening.

Some songs are not available in all countries and this is due to license agreements with the rights holders. We're always working on expanding our catalog, so if that's the case for your songs we hope you'll see them available soon.

Another option is that the song is marked as Explicit and you have that type of content filtered off. You can read more about that here.

Lastly, it's possible that the song was marked as "Don't play this'' at some point - and if that's the case you can follow the steps here to unmark it.

If none of the above is the case - feel free to elaborate more on your issue, we'll be happy to lend a hand again 🙂

Cheers!
