I turned off auto download, but it’s still downloading

My Question or Issue

when I turn off auto download for a podcast it’s still downloads those episodes. It even still downloads the episodes if I decide not to follow that podcast anymore. Help!

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

This is odd behavior. We'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall by following these steps, to be sure the app is up-to-date, and the stored cache isn't leading the app to continue downloading episodes even if you deactivate the option.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

• The exact Spotify version you're running there.
• Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.
• Does this happen with a specific show? If yes, please share with us the link to it with us.
