My Question or Issue

Is it possible to remove the podcast from the homepage yet or at least customize he home page? My old accounts front page was cluttered with podcast. I don't want podcast, I use spotify for music not podcast. I noticed that only certain Spotify users have this issue. My girlfriends and all my friends spotify app homepages show only their music and playlist but my app always displays podcast at the top and I have to scroll to find music. This is a pretty big deal for me. I closed my old spotify account and have been using Apple music which only focuses on music which is great. I love Apple music because it focuses only on music the only issue I have with it is that sharing music with people is harder. I made a new account in hopes that my new account will have a better layout but so far it looks the same as before. If there isn't a way to fix this I am closing this new account again and just staying with Apple music. I attached my homepage versus my girlfriends homepage.

I have a suspicion Spotify is rolling different layouts to different people but leaving just enough people with the normal music focused layout so that when it comes time to vote for ideas to ideas they can skim by with not enough votes to ignore the issue and keep trying to jam podcast down a select few peoples throats. This issue has been persistent since 2019.

Hey @JVsurfer,

Thanks for posting in the Community!
Spotify is often testing things by evaluating the reactions of users to a specific change. The issue you're describing fits one of these tests, as they only get rolled out to a portion of all accounts at first 🙂
We'd also suggest taking a look at this Idea. If you'd like to see it implemented, you may leave your Like! to show your support!

We're here for you if anything else comes up.
Cheers!

This confirmed the account roll out suspicions I've had. I accept this as a solution because it accurately describes whats going on. Although I left spotify for over a year and had to make a new account. Wish they would release a survey for accounts being tested to at least get some feedback instead of silently forcing it on people.
