Marantz M-CR611 as a device in Spotify

My Question or Issue

I got my Marantz M-CR611 yesterday and when I first set it up I got it as a device in Spotify and where able to use "Spotify Connect" as stated in the documentation. After some listening I lost contact with the Marantz and when this was restored, the Marantz is no longer available as a device in Spotify (and the Spotify app says "Listening on - This phone". However, regardless of this, it seems to be playing as a device/Spotify Connect, since the song information is shown in the display and the volume buttons on my phone interacts directly with the volume setting on the Marantz.

a) Has someone experienced this and been able to restore the Marantz as an available device (and consequently having the Spotify app saying it is "Listening on - Marantz M-CR611" again)?

b) Is there generally any sound quality difference if a phone is connected to the Marantz with or without Spotify Connect? I mean just regular Bluetooth vs Spotify Connect.
