Problem Describe: This is my most favourite playlist in Spotify, but happened last few days tons of tracks in this playlist has gone missing. From 50 to 60+ tracks and now left only 12 in the playlist, please bring the playlist back! Thanks

Please Spotify, do something about this. Understand Spotify will add/exclude songs into the playlist time to time, but demolish the whole playlist is not a good idea. Or if want to rebuild the playlist, please make it a ESM2 or Vol. 2 or something. Part of the reason I pay for subscription is I loved the playlist in Spotify.

Same here! my favorite playlist on the app. It was great for me while I worked on things on the computer. Please bring it back.

YES!

I found a copy of the old playlist in an old computer which hadn't been online since February! I turned off the wifi and was able to add all the tracks to a new playlist. Two of the tracks are unavaliable at the moment, but otherwise it's an exact copy. Even the track ordering is correct.

Hey everyone... I tweeted @SpotifyCares and they're going to have their team take a look at ESM | Electronic Study Music to see if cutting it down to 12 songs was a purposeful curator's decision or a mistake. In the meantime, they suggest we use the backup copy mentioned in this thread.

Any update on the investigation? This is really disappointing!

Yes! Eight hours ago they replaced the 12 tracks with 24 tracks.

On the positive side: They've added more tracks.

On the negative side: The latest version (2016-07-26) is even further away from the orignal ESM…

I guess this confirms that it's an intentional curator's decision. It unfortunate; it was such a great playlist. I guess I'll keep my own copy of the old one. I've been using the recommendations in the desktop client to add some new music to it, so it's starting to evolve and I really like it.

Man, the new ESM playlist is pretty bad too. I listened to about half of it today... it's not even close to what it was before. It seems like really generic vocal EDM. There are a ton of other Spotify-curated playlists just like it. I'm not sure why they went this direction with it.

This was a really really BAD decision. I was literally pulling my hair out of frustration thinking I deleted the playlist by mistake just to realise it was intentionally taken down. It was my go-to playlist for stressful days when I need to zone out.

Please stop fixing what's not broke. Thank you so much to the person who made the back-up available. You're a life saver.

I hate ranting but ACCESS TO THIS PLAYLIST WAS ONE OF THE FEW REASONS I AM STILL SUBSCRIBED to spotify. I don't care about too much about top songs. Nor do I care that much about other playlists but please bring the original playlist back.

It's already a hassle having to continuously add songs to another playlist because songs get removed every now and then (which I understand, as the playlist is evolving and we get to discover more great songs) but to remove an ENTIRE playlist altogether?! **bleep** Spotify?! I sincerely hope something gets done about this.
