Music stop after playing ads on TV

Music stop after playing ads on TV

My Question or Issue

Hello,
I'm here because I don't find the information to help me.
Since 4 weeks, I can't play spotify on my TV (for get music on my HiFi) because on my playlists (or other spotify playlists) when I play the playlist, when I get an ads, after the ads the music stop and go back to Spotify home...

I specify that the bug appeared and is not present since begin because I have been using spotify for a while and it is only for a few weeks that it appeared and that it persists.

I'm using Free account, my TV is a LG UH603V and the spotify app is the 2022.12.05_5-eaa5d18 H 4.27.2

I think the bug is due to an update of spotify firmware, because if the update date 2022.12.05, it can match with the apparition of bug.

Thanks a lot, hope an update can arrive before 2022.12.31 for use it for new year.

Bonjour @cgey, thanks for writing!

In this case, my first suggestion is that you reinstall the Spotify app on your TV and see if it works.

Let me know how it goes.

My Question or Issue

When first getting the new TV, the Spotify app worked very impressively; good quality, big selection of music. But it's been getting worse, bit by bit: first I had an issue where ads would freeze the app for a minute or so; which for some reason cleared for a while, then the problem came back again - big gap of nothing before each ad runs. The latest is that the tracks themselves lock up, right in the middle, for a lengthy time period, then resume.

Is it the online connection? No, I have YouTube videos running at 4K flawlessly, either side of trying Spotify ...

I posted an earlier message mentioning this issue, which just vanished ... I'm rapidly getting the impression that this streaming service is just steadily, more aggressively pushing me to start paying - am I correct?
