My Question or Issue

I have a pair of Dynaudio's Focus XD 400 and 200 XD, on neither systems the direct link with Spotify seems to be working anymore. I know that the official support for that ended already a few years back, but up till now, it was still working.

Did something change in the Spotify side? Any ways to turn it back?

Yep. Spotify Connect appears to be broken on many devices at the moment.

Spotify's Software is normally brilliant, and the reason to pay for the service.  But this upgrade has rendered by £5,000 AV system useless. It was sold with Spotify Connect and it just doesn't work.

I've never thought of leaving Spotify before but this is a real problem. I am happy to report that one of Spotify's competitors which starts with a Q has a playlist transfer function.

It doesn't have Connect or the Algorithms  but it has higher sound quality.

Either they fix this, or I'm gone.

As proposed in some other places, re-installing spotify, in this case on my Galaxy Tab, did the trick. Back up and running.

In my case it started working by itself. Fix on the Spotify side.
