Ordering songs in a playlist

Ordering songs in a playlist

Plan: Premium

Country: UK

Device: MacBook Pro 10.14.6

My Question or Issue

When I create a playlist I want the songs to be appear with the most recently added song at the top of the list.

With the new Spotify layout, if I select that I want songs ordered by when they were added to the playlist, the song added first goes to the top and most recent songs to the bottom. I can't see any way to reverse this.

When visiting other playlists that friends and artists have made, I'd also like to be able to see the date that the song was added, and to put the most recently added songs to the top of the playlist. It doesn't look like this is possible. So if an artist has created a playlist with 1000s of songs...I have to spend ages scrolling to the bottom to see the one that was most recently added!

Surely Spotify hasn't made it impossible for songs that are most recently added to go to the top?

I am also finding that when I'm adding songs to a playlist I'll get a message saying "this song is already on this playlist" even when that's not true.

Thanks

Hey @plee1988,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Once you sort the playlist by Date Added you'll see a little green arrow appear in the Date Added Column. Click that again to reverse the sorting.

If you don't see the Date Added column, zoom out from the 3-dot menu (top left-hand side) View > Zoom out or suing Cmnd + -.

Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
