Playlist Playback Order

I’ve noticed that when I play a playlist, it always plays the first song added. Could you consider an option to start with the most recently added song? Thank you

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

This can already be done in with the app on android and desktop: if you sort by Date added (oldest to newest), you can select it again to reverse the order (newest to oldest). You can also do this with the other sorting options (except Custom order).

In case you're using iOS, the option to reverse the sort order isn't available there at this time, I'm afraid, but we're constantly looking for opportunities to enhance the user experience for everyone and your feedback on this is greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.

Here's some more info regarding sorting that's worth noting:

• Pressing the big green Play button at the top of the playlist will launch it in the sort order you've currently selected.
• While sorting by Custom order on the desktop app or the Web Player, you can change the order of the songs in the playlist by moving them around.
• On desktop, double-clicking a playlist from the Your Library sidebar will always launch it in Custom order.
• On the Web Player, the sort order is locked to Custom order and cannot be changed.
• The Liked Songs playlist does not offer a Custom order sorting option. On the Web Player, they are sorted by most recently added instead.

Hello!

Even though on desktop, when double-clicking a playlist from the Your Library sidebar it will always launch in Custom order, when I double-click regardless of my custom order, it always starts playing the oldest one.
