Podcast playback speed missing, again?

In the last few weeks it seems that the podcast playback speed in the web browser is missing and you are not able to change it on Android, shows up as 1X but 'greyed' out. Is change to playback speed coming back

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

On the Android app, the speed control is only grayed out if the playback is coming from another device (using Connect). If you play the podcast directly from your Android, you should be able to control the speed by hitting the 1X button and choosing a different speed.

However, the speed controls are not available in the Web player yet. A similar idea requesting this option has already been suggested here - feel free to add your vote to it! Keep in mind that its Status doesn't mean it won't be implemented, as Spotify will check it out if it reaches the necessary amount of votes.

I need help with this also. I just got  new Android phone and can no longer change the playback speed of podcasts on 'my living room speaker' where I could previously (and did all the time) with my last Android phone. How do I fix this?  I can't listen to podcasts at 1x speed and really want to listen on my smart speakers while doing other things like cooking.
