Podcast with intermittent stops

I've had to reinstall Spotify several times in order to continue to listen to my podcasts.  I've cleared the cache and deleted any downloads.  The only thing that works is uninstalling Spotify and then reinstalling.  It's really annoying and makes me second guess leaving Apple Music for Spotify.  I currently use a pixel 9.  Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

Let's first try and narrow down what might be causing this issue. Does this only happen on the Pixel 9 or other devices too? After reinstalling, does the issue come back right away or does it take some time? If you haven't already, try if the same happens across different networks, both Wi-Fi and mobile data. Check if the same happens in offline mode too.
