Podcasts consistent restarting / crashing mid session (7/9/24 - IPhone 15PM)

Podcasts consistent restarting / crashing mid session (7/9/24 - IPhone 15PM)

Hey Team /All. I listen to podcasts & JRE daily. My problem for the past two months I’ve been dealing with Spotify consistently crashing the specific podcast stream every time an ad finishes or if I switch, Back and forth from app to app and back again.

The worst part is that when you re-load the app or play another song and go back to the podcast it starts it from the beginning. Which is frustrating if your an hr into a JRE pod and don’t know where you where.

I can recreate this issues without failure and its been persistent every update etc.

Being in tech, I’ve don’t almost all troubleshooting possible. (Yes, even the painful uninstall, clear cache etc basic stuff too.)

Hey @GLAVAN117,

Thanks for taking the time to post this thread and for sharing what steps you've done so far.

To start investigating the issue, we'll need to gather some details and it'd be very helpful if you could send us the exact Spotify version that you're using.

Additionally, let us know:

  • Does this happen with a specific ad or with multiple/all ads?
  • If possible, ask a relative or a friend to log in to their account on your phone to test if it's an account-related issue.
  • To test if it's device-specific, let us know if the same behavior persists on another device (desktop for example).

We'll be on the lookout for your response 🙂
