Radio Station is a Fixed Playlist

My Question or Issue

 It seems that many times when I create a radio station now, it is really a fixed playlist of about 52 songs that will just loop like any other playlist and no new songs will ever be introduced. Thumbs up and down aren't available either. 

Any idea what's happening with this?

After many years of Google Play Music, I'm currently testing Spotify in order to possibly change over with my entire family of 6. Seeing issues as the one on hand however, I can't believe how technically ret*rded Spotify is, the supposedly biggest and most advanced music service on earth.

What I can tell you however is that Last.fm was much more advanced than Spotify is today, already fifteen years ago.
Calling fixed playlists a "Radio Station" must be the most ridiculous move in the streaming industry, ever.
And I'm not even starting to talk about the similarly moronic removal af the dislike button from such "Radio Stations"
