Hello!
after the recent update to the Amazon Fire TV I am no longer able to use Spotify Connect on the Fire TV.
When I initiate a connection from my cell phone (Android, Nexus 5) Sporitfy Connect launches, but ends up in an error message "Hm. Irgendwas ist schiefgelaufen. Probiere es noch mal." (german) ("Uups, something went wrong. Please try again.").
I tried again and again for some days now and I start to feel a bit of frustration now.

Same problem here. Fire Stick worked fine when I first installed the Connect app. 24hrs later, "hmm, etc" message every time I try to use. Spotify update seems to be the culprit - needs to be fixed pronto. But then so does the "no internet" message on android mobile when every other app on my phone knows I have internet available. Quality control, error rca and prompt customer issue resolution processes at Spotify all pretty substandard, IMO.
It appears to be a wide spread problem - connect isn't working for Android devices or iPad.
Struggling with the same problem. Can't connect to my Fire TV via Spotify connect with my Nexus 4 or 7.
Same problem here. Everything worked just fine until a last week! I used connect on a fire stick as well as on a fire tv and this solution was mostly the reason for my premium membership. I hope spotify solves the problem soon, otherwise my subscription doesn't make sense.
I don't think it has something to do with the router. For me, for example, it worked just fine until last week and I didn't change the router. It's the app wich runs the firetv or firestick that causes the problem.
Connect that does'nt connect!! Why can't I just have a full app? Used to have a full app on WDTV I dont want to have to use my phone AND bloody FireTV. Whats the point!!!! Sodding £9.99 a month for this p poor pile!!
Same here as well. FireTV connect not working from iOS or Andriod versions of the latest spotify app. Need a fix soon please!
